13 Months!

Things have continued to be busy for our little family, but of course, worth it and we've snuck some fun in there! We went to Ellen and Brians house for Halloween where Noah enjoyed tossing the tiny pumpkins around saying "ballll", lol.

Noah's getting even better at communicating. He's learned some more words/phrases like "see?", "look", "tree" and "that?" and points at everything he wants. He's also become quite the copycat lately. His favorite word seems to be "daddy" and he says it constantly and calls me and all the moms who come to the daycare daddy as well even though I know he knows better!

Isaiah and Jonathan came to down last weekend, and the cousins had lots of fun playing together. As expected, there were a lot of pictures, here's a few:

Last week we had some very warm days for November (highs in the mid 70s) so we took advantage of what was probably the last few days of nice weather for the year by visiting a playground owned by a church right by us. I never see anyone in there, but they have toddler appropriate toys and and its fenced in so I could let Noah walk around and play without me having to hold his hand. He had lots of fun, and pushed around a toy car for probably 20 minutes while making "car noises"! He's so cute!

Look at that hair!

Noah has gotten really much better about fighting sleep. When he starts to get sleepy at night he'll pretty much climb on to the couch to sit on our laps and sometimes will just lay down on a pillow if its on the floor. I decided for Christmas to get him a little couch thing that pulls into a little cot for him to lounge in. I caught him getting comfy in this picture:

We will probably be putting out our Christmas tree pretty soon since I love the decor so much. We had to get a new tree this year since my pre-lit tree that I was using only had a few spots that still lit up! I'm pretty excited to see it out of the box! I know it will be a constant battle with Noah since the ornaments look like balls, and I know he'll be terribly curious. I think it might just be worth it though!

Trick or Treating at the zoo

Yes, I realize I just posted, but I got pictures cute enough for it's own post when we went trick or treating at the zoo with Cassi and Calli last night!

Noah's a whole year old!!

We made it a whole year! Noah's birthday was a big success and I think everybody had a pretty good time. Noah's definitely a popular guy, he probably had 35-40 people at his birthday! The monkey cake was a success, but not without some problems first. I made the cake and some cupcakes on Friday night so I wouldn't be so rushed and could take my time icing and decorating, but Lucy decided it looked like a good snack and ruined that plan. So I made a new cake and some icing and Rudy did most of the actual icing of the cake Saturday night. Noah got tons of cool presents and mostly musical toys since everybody knows how much he loves music.

He had his doctors appointment on Tuesday afternoon and was given a clean bill of health! He's 30 inches tall and weighs about 20 1/2 lbs. He had to get 3 immunizations, plus the first shot of his flu shot, but he did well!

He has recently started refusing to drink formula/milk. At first, he wouldn't drink anything at all, no matter what it was, so i was pretty worried and got a bunch of watermelon to try and get him SOME fluids. Now he is drinking water and juice, but still not nearly enough milk.

Anyway, here's what you're waiting for: pictures!

11 months, 3 Weeks!! Almost a year!

September was a SERIOUSLY busy month, which I'm sure you can see from my lack of updates...its hard to even decide where to start...

First of all, I got a new job. My bookstore job was just temporary so when that ended I started working at Frisches big boy serving. I've always like serving, and I still do, but boy is it exhausting! I've been making decent money, but I've also been working every single day besides Tuesdays and Thursdays when I'm in school. It's basically like having no day off and I've finally gotten to the point that I asked my supervisor for one more day off a week to study and catch up on housework (which has truly taken a hit).

School is going pretty well. Last week was actually pretty crazy. Last weekend we were super busy and out of town in Nashville for a wedding most of the weekend, so I had basically no time to study. Unfortunately, I had two test last week. One on Monday, and one that was supposed to be on Tuesday, but thankfully got moved to Thursday. I had to work every day, so I was pretty stressed, but it all worked out and I got A's on both of them! :)

Noah's birthday is less than one week away!! I can't believe he's almost a whole year old, but I'm VERY excited! I still have a lot to do, like figure out how to make a monkey cake! We're getting Noah's year pictures made Thursday so I can use them as favors for the adults who come.

Noah has grown up a lot since last wrote. For one thing, he's WALKING! He's the cutest little walker I've ever seen and he's so little! He's also talking a lot, not always words I recognize but he has the right rhythm and everything for words. His actual words include: mama, baby, dada, puhpuh (puppy), ball, tickle (which is really hilarious cause he does a weird tongue thing trying to say it), uh-oh, hi or hey and bye. He also waves :)

So now, just a few of the things we've done in the last month and a half:

We went to the 2010 Walk for Lupus Now Louisville walk where our team raised over $800!

We went to World Fest downtown and got to see all kinds of dances, food, clothing, and crafts of lots of cultures. Noah seemed to love his balloon the best!

We went to the park several times...and I just LOVE this picture!

We went to Isabella's 2 year birthday( I can't remember if this was in the last post or not..)

And some other things...but I don't have pictures uploaded, or we didn't take pictures.

I'll try to be a better blogger...maybe I'll do it on my one day off! I'd expect a birthday blog though after his party, cause I'm sure I'll have LOTS of pictures!!

9 Months 3 Weeks

Friday night the three of us went to Brad and Roxy's to celebrate Roxy's birthday! I didn't actually take any pictures, but Roxy got a camera and I know she got some really good ones, so I'll post those at some point. They also gave me a card for my birthday that they've had sitting around for 2 months. They got me a $50 gift card, so Noah and I got to go shopping today!!
When I first got it, I thought of all the wise things I could use it for...the electric bill, the cable bill, gas, groceries, just saving it, but I couldn't really remember the last time I got to go shopping for fun, so I decided I deserved it!

Noah and I found some great things and we got some really awesome deals too!

This curious George ball was only $5 at TJ Maxx. We also got some clothes for Noah.

My personal favorite is the monkey sweater! We also got a little book with a keyboard on it that was only $2 because it was out of batteries.

I'd been wanting to get some shoes for a while since I had nothing really that I can wear to work besides some flats that really hurt my feet and athletic shoes. I really needed something between flip flops and running shoes. Thank goodness for back to school deals! I got two pairs of shoes that are usually $35 and $40 each for $25 together! I'm very excited!
Noah has learned his first word. Well, he's been saying it, but I think he actually knows what it means now. He's been saying "momma" and looking at me or reaching for me all day. Yesterday, while I was feeding Noah his breakfast, he said "baby" clear as day. Then, I said baby to see if it was on purpose and we spent the rest of the time he was eating repeating baby back and forth to each other. I don't know if it counts as a word because I'm not sure he knows what baby means or if he's just heard it, I don't know what qualifies as a "word".

Noah cut FOUR teeth all at once starting Sunday. The beginning of the week was pretty rough but he's now back to his happy self (just with a mouth full of teeth now!)

Last night my parents hung out with Noah for a few hours while Rudy and I ate dinner with some friends and they reported that he stood up on his own, he did it again this morning for a few seconds. He's growing up so fast!

Speaking of growing up fast, I was adding Noah's new teeth to his baby book when it dawned on me that Noah is nearly TEN months!!! I don't know how it went to fast or how I hadn't realized how close the tenth is, but I was seriously shocked!

9 1/2 Months

Well, yesterday was a pretty eventful day as I spent about 4 hours unemployed! I went into work as usual but Bart came out to my car before I even got out and essentially fired me. I guess technically I was laid off, but it doesn't really feel any different to me, especially since they gave me no notice, which is pretty inconsiderate. So I went home and spent about 15-20 minutes sulking and feeling crappy about the whole thing. Then I got on craigslist to see if I could find some jobs to apply for. It was about 10:45 when I saw one for the UofL bookstore; they were having open interviews. So I printed out a form I had to drop off at the financial aid office and headed to campus. She said since it was the last day of interviews she'd be calling that afternoon to make offers and I felt pretty well about the interview afterwards, and the manager must have too because she called me around 2:30 to offer me a job. I start my orientation/training 9:30 Monday morning. It's not permanent, the position is only guaranteed until the beginning of September but she said she will be keeping about 5 out of the 15 temporary employees long term, so it could be longer. If nothing else, I'll get 20% the price off my books so I'll save around $100!

I'm very very excited to be starting school this fall, I feel like I'll be finally moving forward when I do. It's so exciting to think that this time next year I'll be starting my LAST semester! Unless of course I go to grad school, which right now seems unlikely, but you never know!

Last week Rudy and I went to the Walk for Lupus Now Lauch party at Bearno's. It was pretty succesful and Rudy got recognized for making J Gumbo's a sponsor! Plus, the cake was delicious!

Noah has been eating even more than his usual hefty meals. I think he's about to have another growth spurt. I think he'll also have more teeth soon as he's been showing all the signs.

Rudy and I attended the last day of the very first hullabalou on Sunday and got to see Dave Matthews Band (along with several other bands). It was oppressively hot but we still had a good time and got a little sun!

Jessica (Yeska) and Isabella came to visit us Tuesday and it was really nice to hang out and catch up with them. Yeska got some great pictures, and I'll have to post some on here when she puts them online.

Noah's newest thing is sticking his tongue out. One day I picked him up from daycare and he just did it all day, its hilarious. Sometime he stick it out to the side as if he's concentrating really hard. He must have picked it up from on of his buddies in daycare because I don't know who would've taught him that here!

I think I've decided to have a Curious George themed birthday party for Noah's first birthday. Knowing me though, I'll probably change my mind at least 4 or 5 times before then.

I found this cake online and it seems pretty easy to make and its really cute. Plus, who doesn't love monkeys and bananas?

9 months, 1 week

We're finally getting a break from the heat as a storm rolls through. Noah is still playing, but I think he'll be asleep pretty soon.

He should be pretty tired because he had a full day! This morning we went to Walmart to get some groceries, to one bank so Rudy could make a deposit for work, and then to our bank to deposit some money as well. Then we headed to my parents house to spend the day since my grandparents came in town from Tennessee. Noah played hard as usual and only really took one nap. I have no idea how he's still awake honestly.

We went for his 9 month checkup yesterday which went well aside that he has an ear infection in both ears. He hasn't complained or fussed about it at all, but he's on antibiotics to clear it out. He weighs a whopping 18lbs 10 ounces and he's 27 1/2 inches long!

He's still working on what seems like a million teeth (I think it's actually 4) but they don't seem to be much closer to actually cutting through.

Noah has really enjoyed his new class at daycare and was fortunate enough to have Lucas come join him! Mrs. Margie really misses him, but we've come to visit her once a week since he moved rooms.

Noah's newest thing is dancing. It's probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen; he just shakes his head from side to side and smiles. I think he's seen people kinda twist their shoulders and upper body and he's trying to copy, he just doesn't have the shoulder motion yet. He's been clapping away and he's got a whole line of noises that he absolutely loves making. He LOVES sounds!

He's not yet walking, but he pulls himself up with little effort and he stands by just barely leaning on the couch or someones legs. One of these days I think he'll just be playing with the dog and just forget to hold on and walk. I'm just waiting for it!

I believe Noah just made me a diaper, so I will have to continue later!

9 months!!

Well, almost anyway.

Summer is in full swing and except for a few days last week we've been hanging out in the high 90s for a few weeks. It's hot!

Noah had a cold for about two weeks but seems to have gotten over it just in time for me to be sick. I've been trying to not get him sick again myself.

We got noahs 9 month pictures taken Friday and they turned out adorable of course and we celebrated noahs first 4th of July and went to my parents.

Noah and I got to spend all day together yesterday since the daycare was closed. We didn't do a whole lot, but we did get to eat with my big sister Nikki so that was pretty fun.

Tomorrow is going to be noahs first day in his new class at daycare. I think he'll like playing with older kids and playing with new toys, but I hate for him to leave Mrs. Margie!

It's hard to believe he'll be 9 months Saturday. It's flown by!

8 months!

According to gerber, Noah must be ahead. They just sent me a monthly newsletter that told me my 8 month old may begin to scoot and even crawl soon! It also said that he'd start reaching for his spoon, and in a few weeks may start to pull up on things...

Apparently, Noah doesn't subscribe to that newsletter and has been doing these things for months!

Let's hope Noah stays this ambitious and hard working, he'll be a pretty succesful guy if he does!

8 months!

Believe it or not, here comes Noah's 8th month!

I feel like we're constantly busy but when I think about it, I can't think of anything interesting that we do.

Noah is doing really well, he's grown so much and for the first time in his life, he's younger than his size! He's always fit into clothes than corresponded with his age until just recently when he's started to wear 9 months. He's still pretty even though cause a lot of his 6 months clothes still fit okay.

I've been talking to a lady with coolbakers downtown about a job as a shift leader there. They deliver box lunches to offices all around downtown and apparently do pretty well. Normally, I wouldn't leave my job for a food service job, but working 6 days a week and still having 2/3 of my paycheck going to the daycare each week is getting pretty irritating. Coolbakers pays around $10/hour (I make $8.50 now) just for their crew members and they're not open nights or weekends. We've mostly been playing phone tag as of yet, but I'm hoping it works out.

It looks like we'll be staying in our apartment another year. We had found a house really close to our apt that actually wouldv'e saved us about $100 a month, but we weren't able to get a cosigner so we can't do it. I'm just going to continue to build our credit in the mean time so when our lease ends again, we won't have this problem. I'm pretty disapointed because I really wanted a place with our own yard and everything, but atleast we won't have to move everything!

Noah has two adorable teeth and he's enjoyed learning to feed himself with the little finger foods that dissolve pretty quickly so they're not a choking hazard. I think he likes the independence as much as he likes the food itself, and still a good part of it ends up in his seat or on the floor, but his skills are improving.

It's storming right now so my already too quiet, lonely office is now pretty dark. Not a lot of people are answering either, so that doesn't push my day along very quickly either.

We're headed to cincinatti Friday night for ginger's wedding, ( although I don't know if Noah is going or not) and then we're all headed to mckenzie Saturday for the jones-Creasy reunion so we'll have a very full weekend! I'm also going to a campus tour/admissions appt at IUS Friday morning. I finally decided to go for sociology at either Uofl or IUS. I love UofL and would love to get a diploma from there, but IUS is priced like a community college but gets you am Indiana university diploma. Basically, everything depends on financial aid because I can't get any more loans and I have essientially no money.

I definately have every intention of saving to pay for noah's college. It's worth it to me to only have one child if we can pay for that.

Anyway, this post I guess wasn't as much about Noah as usual, he's just as cute and smart as ever but nothing new really.

Will update again soon!

7 1/2 months

So Noah isn't quite walking (although he'd certainly like to be) but he does have two little teeth that have finally broken through his gum! After a feverish and sleepless afternoon/night Sunday filled with diahrea and a runny nose, they finally broke through and he's been a much happier little boy!

He's as active as ever and desperately trying to walk cruising all over our apartment. I'm hoping to take him swimming soon cause I think he would just love it!

We're celebrating my 23rd birthday this weekend, so I'm pretty excited for that! We're going to a bats game and eating.

Noah got to hang out with grandma and grandaddy yesterday while Rudy worked and I saw sex and the city 2 with some girlfriends.

All in all, nothing really new or different has been going on, noahs still his happy self!

7 months 1 week

Can you tell I'm a busy lady? So much for my weekly post!

Noah is an incredible baby. No more than one week after he started crawling, he started pulling up on things. Now, he pulls up, climbs, and walks himself along our couch. Yesterday, he basically stood up alone just barely leaning on rudys leg.

The daycare had to get a new changing table because he and Kennedi wouldn't stop climbing the one they had and mrs. Margie was afraid they would get hurt.

He may also be the most inquisitive 7 month old I've ever seen. He's fascinated by things other babies his age don't seem to notice. He loves a little spot of sunshine that reflects on the floor in hus classroom at school and will spend half an hour looking at it and trying to catch it. He spent probably 25 minutes pulling on a drawer handle at my parents house. He saw other people pull it to get the drawer open so he pulled on it with all if his weight, standing up and rocking back in forth trying to get the handle off. He was smart enough to even look inside the drawer to see what was holding it there. I was so impressed!

Yesterday, noahs first tooth started cutting through. He's been struggling with the pain a little. He's slept a lot and fussed a bit more. But who can blame him? i'd be pretty grumpy if something were pushing through my gums too!

Noah went with Rudy and mia to calli's birthday party last weekend and I think they had a lot of fun. Then we went to KAC's Ice cream social and played on th playground. It was a really fun day!

Probably by the next time I update Noah will be running around with teeth!

6 months 2 weeks

I'm currently sitting in the car parked at 4th and liberty waiting for Rudy to get off work. Noah is taking a much needed nap in the car seat. This picking up Rudy at midnight thing is getting old-I hope he gets his work car soon! It's not so much that I mind coming to get him, I just hate waking up Noah when he's already asleep! Although, today he woke up at 11, so I just headed down here earlier rather than put him back to sleep just to wake him up a few minutes later.

We've had a pretty nice weekend. Rudy was off saturday so he watched Noah while I worked a few hours then we went to a birthday party for rudys boss' son. It was pretty cool. Then we decided to take advantage of Rudy being off on a Saturday and took Noah to hang out with my parents and went and saw 'hot tub time machine' we both really liked it, plus it was nice just to go, we don't go to the movies much anymore.

Rudy had to work all day today but Noah and I did have lunch with Mary today. Noah was cranky, so it wasn't as much fun as usual. (he needed a nap)

As usual, the weekend passed with lightning speed, and I have to return to work tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get to go home and sleep soon!!

6 Months 1 Week

Okay, so a little over a week, but my goal was to update at least once a week so I'll just update again this weekend.

Noah is a crawling, sitting, playing machine! He is so much happier now that he can play with anything he can get to (which is basically everything!) and move around when he wants to switch. He and Kennedi at daycare is crawlinv now too and apparently they just follow eachother around the room all day!

Noah had his first playdate last Friday with Calli, ( my sorority sister Cassi's daughter who's 5 months older than Noah) and they had tons of fun! There were lots of squeels exchanged!

Noah is growing up so quickly and it's so exciting! He hasn't had a rough day at daycare since he learned to crawl (even on Monday) so I think it has made a huge difference.

Now that I'm able to blog from my phone, I'm sure my posts will be more frequent. Anyway, back to work!!

6 months 1 day

Noah has reached an impressive milestone-6 months!

He's come so far in these last few months, it's hard to believe! He's now sitting all by himself, eating all kinds of foods, rolling around, almost crawling, and babbling and laughing all the time!

He has his 6 month checkup tomorrow so I'll know his exact current measurements then, but last Wednesday when I took him to the doctor, he was 15lbs 12 ounces I believe.

He's doing a lot better and is no longer wheezy at all. He's still a little rattly sometimes, but only after he's slept a while or has a big melt down. He's well on his way to recovery!

Will update again soon!

5 months 4 weeks

Working full time has been a huge adjustment that's taken me some time to get used to. I've fallen behind on nearly everything, from laundry and dishes to KAC and Lupus Foundation tasks. I've finally got it together though, and I should be able to keep up with things now.

Noah and I are home today because after a night of hardly any sleep and a wheezy, coughing baby, I decided to take Noah to the doctor this morning. They diagnosed him with RSV and an ear infection and did 3 breathing treatments at the doctor which helped his breathing a lot. He'll be on antibiotics and having breathing treatments about every six hours.

Noah has been close to crawling for about 2 weeks now and is able to push himself around a room pretty well.

Noah had a big first Easter weekend this weekend and learned to sit and laughed out loud for the very first time. Saturday morning before work, I was talking to my dad on the phone and told him Noah was still trying to crawl but that he wasn't sitting yet. After work, I went over to their house and while I was waiting for them to get home, I decided to play with Noah outside. I put a towel on the ground with some toys and he just sat for about 20 minutes! He's been sitting pretty well all week and I'm just so proud of him!

My dad had Noah on his lap bouncing his knee singing "the horsey song" which goes, "ride a little horsey, ride a little horsey, up and down to town. Watch out Noah and don't fall..down!" and on down, you dip the baby. Noah has always loved doing this with my dad but we noticed this time, that Noah anticipates the dip. After getting pretty excited about horsey, my dad was putting his feet on the floor and letting him jump and Noah was just having so much fun that he just laughed out loud. It was adorable!

The maintenance people are here to try to fix our air conditioning so I'm going to go. Noah is almost 6 months old!

5 Months 1 Week

I have an adorable, but very sleepy baby on my lap who's swinging his pacifier around like a gladiator to stay awake. He's just finished playing on the floor, grabbing his foot (he's recently discovered he has them), talking, laughing, and rolling around, so he's worn out!

He's been doing really well at daycare and I think he's prepping to have another growth spurt because he's been eating like a little pig! He's been eating his cereal, a veggie, AND a 6 oz bottle for lunch and usually 2 veggies and some formula for dinner too, as well as bottles in between. He's also getting really good at sitting up. He still needs some help, but not much and he's constantly pulling himself up by himself. Noah will be starting fruits sometime this week since he's proven himself not allergic to any of the vegetables and well acquainted with all of them.

I've really been enjoying working...well not the work itself, but being able to get out and make some money has been really nice. Plus, the work isn't too bad and I've found myself not minding calling people all the time at all.

Rudy is still working hard for J Gumbo's, but is finding himself there from open to close basically everyday because they're short staffed...we're hoping they can get some people hired and trained ASAP so he can spend more time with me and Noah!

Our first wedding anniversary is this weekend which is as unbelievable as it is exciting! We're celebrating by going to dinner at RIVUE, which is a newer restaurant in The Galt house which revolves and is basically all windows. It's supposed to be pretty cool, so I'm looking forward to that. We may also go to a movie since we don't really get to do that much anymore since Noah's been around.

I think it's about time Noah gets a nap since he keeps banging his head against mine because he's getting too tired to hold it up (not that he'd ever admit it).

5 months old!

Today is a big day for Noah, he's 5 months old today!

Things have been pretty eventful for us lately; I finally got a job at Britton Distributing as a receptionist/appointment setter. They sell Kirby vacuum and I spend most of my day calling people trying to make appointments for them to come clean a room of carpet and tell them about the product. It's no dream job but its great to finally be working, plus it's a job I can put on my resume to get better receptionist jobs in the future.

Noah has been doing really well with daycare and is really enjoying spending time playing and talking to all the other kids. He really likes his teacher too.

He's also really been enjoying trying new foods. He's not a big fan of green beans, but he loves peas, squash, and carrots and we're going to try sweet potatoes tomorrow, which I'm sure he'll love!

We went to the zoo Sunday and it was pretty fun, although Noah didn't really pay much attention to the animals, he just watched the people watching the animals. The coolest thing happened at the gorilla exhibit though, one of came right up to the glass, stood up on his two back feet and stopped right in front of Noah and put his hand on the glass. I was able to put my hands over his and compare our hands while he just stared at Noah sitting in his stroller. Noah was chewing his fingers at the time and after the gorilla looked at Noah for a little while he put his fingers in his mouth too. It was amazing!

20 Weeks

And 2 weeks later, I finally post!

We haven't really been very busy, mostly just snowed in. Unfortunately, snow and being stuck inside makes me extremely unmotivated to do ANYTHING, including something as simple as writing in a blog. Hopefully, as the sun is beginning to sneak into the sky and temperatures are finally rising above the teens, I will stop being so lazy!

I'm still on the job hunt, despite getting a job offer this morning. I haven't yet decided if I'll take it because I have a bad feeling about it, and I don't want to take a job that won't last and end up missing out on better opportunities. But it's hard to pass anything up simply because it's the closest I've got to a job since I started looking! It's at a hotel as a desk person, which I've always thought I"d like, but the manager who does scheduling was very upfront and said she doesn't do scheduling based on my availability, but hers. That might have worked for me over the summer, but I can't just work whenever, I have to work while the day care is open. Then she said she could have me work mornings during the week and I said that would be great. But then she kept asking about weekends, so I told her if I needed to I could probably get a babysitter most weekends. She jumped on that, but honestly, I don't want to burden my friends and family for babysitters EVERY weekend. When I said that, I kind of mean I could work if someone got sick, or called in, busy weekends (like derby), or just didn't show up. I didn't really want to include weekends in my availability. I have an interview Monday, so I might just hope that works out. I feel like working at the hotel is just going to be a constant struggle and argument with the schedule.

Noah has been going to daycare still, although not usually the whole day, just while I run errands, or go job hunting. He's really started getting used to it and enjoying it. He's napping really well there and he really enjoys watching the other babies and talking to them.

He had a bit of a cold and got over but it seems to have settled into his chest and so he's all rattly and coughs a lot to try and break it up, but can't get a deep enough cough. I feel awful for him even though he doesn't seem terribly uncomfortable. I'm taking him to the urgent care in a little bit after they get the referral from our pediatrician. I just want to check and be sure everything is okay.

Noah has gotten really good at holding and reaching out for his toys. His new favorite is a ball that he got from his great grandmother that's really easy to hold on to and make noise when you shake it. At his 4 month checkup he was 14 1/2 pounds exactly and 25 inches!! The pediatrician told me to keep him on the cereals and to go ahead and start foods. He's started on green beans and seems to like them, but he always makes an unsure expression the first couple of bites but keeps eating anyway.

I just looked at a calendar to see how many weeks old Noah is and realized he's almost 5 months old. Time just flies when you're having fun!

Noah's first Day of "School" -17 Weeks 2 days

Noah spent his first day in daycare today and his teacher said he did wonderfully! I am not too surprised since Noah is such a social guy, but when I came in everyone I saw would say "oh, Noah! He's SO cute and Smiles all the time!". I knew they were talking about the right baby when they said that! Noah really likes looking at all the babies, his teacher said she laid him and two girl babies down on the floor and he just looked at them and squealed for a while. She also told me that he's very mature for his age and she thought she had misunderstood how old he was. What mom doesn't like hearing that?

Noah has reached a big milestone and has began to reach out for things. He had been holding his keys for a few weeks but I'd never seen him really reaching out for anything, I always had to put them against the back of his hand. Yesterday, I walked back into the living room and Noah was sitting in his excersaucer holding his monster rattle Yeska got him for Christmas. I was so excited that I distracted him and he dropped it! Later on last night he continued to reach for things, his keys, the rattle, some other little toys, I am very proud of him, although I know this means he'll be grabbing at everything soon ad my hands will be VERY full! It's still exciting, just means I need to go ahead and finish child proofing our house!

My first official day of work went pretty well. The morning went by pretty quickly, but then after I ate lunch, I got very very sleepy and started to miss Noah. I was really ready to get off at 5!

Noah will be four months old this Wednesday which is pretty exciting! I'm going to try to move up his doctors appointment to Saturday so I can ask them about baby food. Noah is eating so much formula, it seems like he's ready.

So, Happy early 4 months to Noah!

16 weeks 4 days

Noah is talking and grabbing all of the toys on his new favorite thing, his excersaucer! We got it for $15 which is a steal, and I'm so glad we did because he LOVES it! It has made things easier for me, because I can sit him in it while I cook and he's content and safe.

Noah started rice this week and he also loves that! When I'm feeding him he can't get enough and when I start to put the spoon in his mouth, he helps and shoves it in as fast as he can. Sometimes, I'm pretty sure he's going to gag himself with it, but he hasn't done it yet!

I'm still job hunting, and honestly I haven't gotten very far. I'm hoping I'll get some interviews or something pretty soon, just so I don't feel hopeless! The staffing agency hasn't found me a job yet, but they told me to call again next week to check in.

Noah did great spending the night with Brad and Roxy, he slept the whole night and was pretty cheerful his entire stay. It was nice sleeping and not having to wonder if he was about to wake up too!

Noah is still teething, but still no teeth! He will put anything that gets near his mouth in it and he is starting to master the skill of putting his keys in his mouth to chew on them.

I think we're going to join Beargrass Christian Church this Sunday and hopefully get Noah baptized sometime fairly soon after that. We both really like this church and all of the family and children activities they offer. They also have a great nursery which doesn't hurt!

I took on the task of going through Noah's dresser and closet to get all of the clothes he's outgrown out of the way once and for all, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, he's now got three 10 gallon totes FULL of outgrown clothes....he's only 3 months old! I hope we don't continue at this rate and have SIX totes when he's 6 months old! I haven't decided if I want to keep storing the clothes or give them away/consign them. I'm sure at moving time I'll be ready to decide.

Will try to write again soon!
