5 Months 1 Week

I have an adorable, but very sleepy baby on my lap who's swinging his pacifier around like a gladiator to stay awake. He's just finished playing on the floor, grabbing his foot (he's recently discovered he has them), talking, laughing, and rolling around, so he's worn out!

He's been doing really well at daycare and I think he's prepping to have another growth spurt because he's been eating like a little pig! He's been eating his cereal, a veggie, AND a 6 oz bottle for lunch and usually 2 veggies and some formula for dinner too, as well as bottles in between. He's also getting really good at sitting up. He still needs some help, but not much and he's constantly pulling himself up by himself. Noah will be starting fruits sometime this week since he's proven himself not allergic to any of the vegetables and well acquainted with all of them.

I've really been enjoying working...well not the work itself, but being able to get out and make some money has been really nice. Plus, the work isn't too bad and I've found myself not minding calling people all the time at all.

Rudy is still working hard for J Gumbo's, but is finding himself there from open to close basically everyday because they're short staffed...we're hoping they can get some people hired and trained ASAP so he can spend more time with me and Noah!

Our first wedding anniversary is this weekend which is as unbelievable as it is exciting! We're celebrating by going to dinner at RIVUE, which is a newer restaurant in The Galt house which revolves and is basically all windows. It's supposed to be pretty cool, so I'm looking forward to that. We may also go to a movie since we don't really get to do that much anymore since Noah's been around.

I think it's about time Noah gets a nap since he keeps banging his head against mine because he's getting too tired to hold it up (not that he'd ever admit it).

5 months old!

Today is a big day for Noah, he's 5 months old today!

Things have been pretty eventful for us lately; I finally got a job at Britton Distributing as a receptionist/appointment setter. They sell Kirby vacuum and I spend most of my day calling people trying to make appointments for them to come clean a room of carpet and tell them about the product. It's no dream job but its great to finally be working, plus it's a job I can put on my resume to get better receptionist jobs in the future.

Noah has been doing really well with daycare and is really enjoying spending time playing and talking to all the other kids. He really likes his teacher too.

He's also really been enjoying trying new foods. He's not a big fan of green beans, but he loves peas, squash, and carrots and we're going to try sweet potatoes tomorrow, which I'm sure he'll love!

We went to the zoo Sunday and it was pretty fun, although Noah didn't really pay much attention to the animals, he just watched the people watching the animals. The coolest thing happened at the gorilla exhibit though, one of came right up to the glass, stood up on his two back feet and stopped right in front of Noah and put his hand on the glass. I was able to put my hands over his and compare our hands while he just stared at Noah sitting in his stroller. Noah was chewing his fingers at the time and after the gorilla looked at Noah for a little while he put his fingers in his mouth too. It was amazing!
